Given the German strategy for Hydrogen, the Brazil-Germany Chamber of São Paulo created, in 2020, the Brazil-German Congress on Green Hydrogen (CBAHV) to present technical issues, foster networking, identify opportunities and establish cooperation. As a result, we hope to obtain a commitment among the main stakeholders for a better local use of the opportunities arising from the Green Hydrogen and the Brazil-Germany relationship.
From 2022, the CBAHV started to compose the Hydrogen Dialogue Latin America program, which together with NürnbergMesse, Hiria and Guia Marítimo, added expertise to integrate one of the most important events on the new moment of energy transition and green hydrogen in Brazil, Latin America and Europe.
The Chamber has an exclusive area to support our associates on the Innovation and Sustainability fronts. Our mission is to help member companies to be perceived as innovative and sustainable. For this, we provide tools and knowledge through courses, events, delegations, webinars, congresses and many other fronts. We seek to bring our associates closer to the main trends in innovation and sustainability, highlighting German expertise in the sector.
To support and leverage innovative ideas from startups, enthusiasts and non-profit institutions for the development of green hydrogen in Brazil, the iH2Brasil initiative was created, aiming to strengthen the Brazilian green hydrogen ecosystem.
Within this context, the iH2Brasil program supports R&D projects, startups and enthusiasts in the period 2022-2023 through the launch of 3 (three) project selection notices, aimed at creating new technologies and solutions in the path of innovation and sustainability, creating a positive perception of the effort to decarbonize Brazilian society.
iH2Brasil is carried out by the Brazil-German Alliance for Green Hydrogen, on the initiative of the project H2Brasil, which is part of the Brazil-Germany Cooperation for Sustainable Development and is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (GIZ Brasil) and fur Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The Awareness task force, provided for in the Grant Agreement between H2Brasil, the Brazil-Germany Chamber of São Paulo and the Brazil-Germany Chamber of Rio de Janeiro, aims to create a better information base for stakeholders in the Brazilian private sector of H2/ PtX (industries and companies), promoting awareness of the importance of an energy transition using green hydrogen.
In this project, the Brazil-German Chamber of São Paulo was responsible for creating Power-2-You, a connection network and training in green hydrogen for women. In its first webinar, Power-2-You gathered more than 400 participants in the live stream, and presented discussions about the challenges and opportunities in this area.
The Brazil-Germany Chamber of São Paulo also provided a webinar and matchmaking on technologies for the production of green hydrogen, in which small and medium-sized electrolysers were presented, in addition to technologies produced nationally.
BrasilAlemanha Magazine is our annual publication that addresses the most relevant issues in the economy, politics and areas of cooperation in the scope of bilateral relations.
Launched during important events of our institution, the publication also highlights the projects and initiatives of the Chamber and the activities of our associated companies.

Believing in the successful expansion of the hydrogen economy, we have created a permanent international forum for the discussion of issues related to the transition from fossil energy to renewable energy, where we will bring together business, political and scientific decision makers along the entire value chain of the sector to present new technologies.
